“24 hours later we are still buzzing after the Kippen village ceilidh! Martin, Anna and Lachlan hosted a wonderful night of dancing. They tailored their sets to fit around our auction and other fundraising items and celebratory interludes.They took the time beforehand to learn and present a local favourite dance, the Balfron Big Three, which gained exuberant participation from all ages. Martin and Anna sang a lovely item to give the guests a breather. The dances were called with patience and good humour enabling everyone to participate including several nationalities and people who had never danced before. “Point Five Ceilidh band played for our 40th birthday (70 adults + 20 kids). They were brilliant. The caller gave clear instructions and plenty of encouragement and was undaunted by the chaos of a squad of kids. The fiddle playing and guitar were excellent, and the musicians had the judgement to know when to give the crowd a rest and mix in instrumental sets and songs.
